This was a show I had looked forward to for several years and it lived up to expectations with a very good numerical entry and there was plenty of quality in the classes- notably the junior classes and Limit bitch and the two open classes. Sad that there were no dog puppies present. I was pleased with the majority of the mouths- wide lower jaws and a full complement of teeth in a line. The presentation was generally of a high standard but there were a few exhibits which were not in show condition and smelled of urine. Many thanks to my steward Hilary Norbury and to secretary Pat Gregory and her hard-working team who made me feel very welcome. BEST IN SHOW the dog CC winner CH WARATHWAITE THE KINGSLAYER and reserve CC winner MIFCAHS THE KING AND I took the RESERVE BEST IN SHOW award with his movement over the CC winning bitch CH MIDDLETUNE FLAME OF GOLD. BEST PUPPY SASSYSHI CAKE BY THE OCEAN WITH SHIRKEIRA- who is full of type and quality BEST VETERAN was the dog CH JAQUITA LETS GO ANDY- and he certainly did; his movement, showing full rear pads and his arrogance, both standing and moving is so typical of the breed. |
