I was delighted to be invited to judge this clubs championship show and thank you to the exhibitors for the wonderful entry of 89 dogs. On the day we had to contend with Storm Bert and so had some absentees. Even l had problems getting across the Pennines too plus my sat nav giving up too. But it was a most friendly show and everyone seemed to be having a good time. My thanks to my most efficient two stewards, Mathew Clark and Mark Spall, sorry guys you had left before I could thank you personally. Its been a while since l last judged the breed, but on the day my biggest concerns were neck and shoulders, some lacking neck, some way too heavy in front assembly and as such spoils the overall balance and outline. Toplines also need to be watch too. On the plus side l thoughts heads were pretty good and mouths were excellent. |
