based on what they saw on the day of the show.
Firstly, I would like to thank Bournemouth Canine Association for inviting me to judge their Championship Show. A huge thank you to my wonderful Ring Stewards, Trish and Bill, a vital part of the judging process keeping everything moving along smoothly. They were excellent and really helped to make it a pleasant day. I would like to thank all exhibitors that still attended defying the scorching heat. Also thank you to those who entered but didn’t come along, I completely understand. Overall despite a low entry (I’m afraid typical of the times) I am pleased to say I found some top drawer exhibits. I had not judged for 6 years but some of my comments from my last appointment still apply. Too many narrow chests, lack of body and muscle tone, more exercise needed! Temperaments were superb. Movement was good throughout, with some EXCEPTIONAL. When awarding Best of Breed I considered it a great privilege to be faced with two really lovely TOP DRAWER exhibits. |
Minor Puppy Dog | ||
1st | Ch. Zeeva Cool Dude | Red gold/white 6 months. Considering it was this little cuties first outing, he was such a good boy and didn.t put a foot wrong. Lovely type, grand shape, good head, soft expression. Well placed large dark eyes, correct nose placement. Well cushioned foreface, width of jaw. Plenty of neck going into well laid shoulders. Level topline, good muscle tone and bend of stifle. In grand coat for age. A top drawer puppy. Best Dog Puppy. |
2nd | Quingshui Auroras Busy Man | Pale gold/white 7 months. Totally different type to winner, who I feel has done his growing early. Very well boned and muscled. Nice dark eyes, great pigment. Level topline, good ribcage. Moved out really well. I feel that he will benefit from his coat change puppy to adult, then coat (which is profuse) will not distract from his shape. Excellent tail carriage. Moved confidently. Handled really well. |

1st | Ch. Mifcahs The King And I JW (Dk,Nor,Swe,No,Int) | Pale gold/white 3 years. Certainly correctly named, he definitely has a Ruler aura about him.
