based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| My thanks must go to the committee of The Welsh Kennel Club for this appointment. This is a show I have supported for many years. My thanks also go to my stewards Mr & Mrs Hitt who kept the ring running smoothly. Finally, thanks to the Exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to go over their lovely Shih Tzu. My observation and concerns from the day. Movement in some dogs had a lack of drive and narrow rears were also seen. Narrow mouths and jumbled teeth were also observed in some exhibits. In a few exhibits, coat presentation was very poor. However, I was pleased with all my placings and it was good to see our young puppies coming through, who will have a lot to offer to the future of our breed. |

| 1st | Santosha Black Frost At Hajenza | Quality class of 3 babies all showing breed type. B/w large black round eyes set well apart, level stop, broad head and muzzle. Open expression clear open nostrils. Sufficient length of neck, good lay of shoulders, chest on track with rib. Sturdy body, good bone, level topline. High tail carriage giving a perfect outline standing and on the move. Outgoing free flowing movement, good reach in front, strong rear action showing full pads. Body and coat presentation excellent. | 2nd | Zeeva Love And Pride | Red/white Smaller to 1st but so well put together. Eyes dark and round, level stop, head still developing and seems to be well on track. Not the open expression I want yet but will come with time. Excellent pigment and ear placement correct, well bodied with lovely bone, level topline with correct tail set carried high. Free flowing movement with front reaching out well and strong rear showing full pads. Such a happy puppy you could see the connection between him and his handler. Coat presentation excellent. |

| 1st | Ethelsmead Half A Sixpence At Kengai | Gold/white 10 month old. Large head with round dark eyes, level stop with open nostrils. Jaw and muzzle broad. Head so typical of the breed type. Nicely arched neck, chest broad/deep with good rib, sturdy muscular body and excellent bone. Firm well laid back shoulders. Tail carried high over back on the move. Strong front and rear movement, showing full pads. Presentation excellent. |

| 1st | Matsonic Midnight Storm Over Bishbow | Solid /black, 1yr old. Typical breed head with dark round eyes, level stop, open nostril with good wide muzzle and width of jaw. Excellent pigment, shoulders well laid back, chest deep, muscular legs and good bone, elbows tucked in nicely. Level topline with high tail set carried well over back on the move. Strong rear action showing full pads. Won this class on his correct movement covering the ground with ease. |
| 2nd | Densown Pedro | Black/white. Typical breed head with large black eyes, wide open expression with 1 inch stop, open nostrils with excellent pigmentation, broad muzzle with excellent jaw and correct ear placement. Shoulders well laid back and firm deep broad chest well laid down with excellent bone. Level topline and tail carried well over back. He let himself down on his movement, with weak rear action and not moving freely. Presentation was excellent one of the best on the day. |

Chest broad and deep, sturdy body, level topline with tail carried high on the move. Strong front reaching well forward. Free flowing movement showing full pad at the rear covered the ground with ease. Coat/Body presentation excellent. |

Front legs good bone, deep chest/rib, sturdy body, level topline, correct tail set carried well over back. Front / rear movement - moved freely, lovely rear movement showing strong flick of full pads. Coat presentation excellent. 3rd. Peekin Reggie Rebel-Tu. |

| 1st | Rossvale Wildest Dream JW | Solid gold black mask. Loved his balance and breed type. Large head with dark eyes, level stop, nice open nostrils, excellent pigment and broad muzzle with wide jaw. Good reach of neck, firm shoulders, broad deep chest, well coupled and sturdy throughout. Level top line, good bone and thighs muscular. Moved freely showing good reach in front, with strong rear action showing full pad, covering the ground with ease. Coat/body presentation excellent DCC. |

Typical breed head, lovely large dark eyes, level stop, nose black, pigment excellent, wide jaw and muzzle giving the required shih tzu expression. Neck/shoulders firm, well laid back, level top line, tea pot tail showing lovely balance. Movement strong fore and aft, showing full pad. Coat presentation excellent. |

| 1st | Ch. Cremefern Trigger A Storm At Symaraju JW | Gold/white. Head good, dark round eyes level stop wide jaw and muzzle. Nice proportions, chest rib and bone good with sturdy body. Won this class on his free flowing movement both fore and aft, showing full pad. Coat presentation excellent. |
| 2nd | Ch. Senousi Dressed For It By Fairmere | Solid gold black mask. Close to 1st in type lovely head and expression, good pigment sturdy throughout with nice balance moved well and freely showing full pad. Coat presentation excellent. |

| 1st | Juhua’s I’m Not The Only One | 7 month old gold/white. Head still developing, level stop, mouth wide, eyes dark, good body, level topline and correct tail set carried well over back on the move. Strong movement fore and aft showing full pad at the rear. Happy confident puppy working with handler. |
| 2nd | Honeyshuchun Dark Goddess | 7 month old black/white. Loved her breed type and head, black eyes, excellent pigmentation and sturdy body. Unfortunately, she wasn’t having a good day which made assessment of her hard. Her movement was Erratic with tail down. I’m sure as she matures, she will grow more confident and settle into the showing. |

Level stop open nostrils good wide jaw developing nicely, still young but everything on track. Level topline with good tail set. Well laid shoulders with nice width throughout level topline correct tail set carried well over back, good front movement with legs reaching well forward. Rear action showed full pad. Loved her rich colour. Presentation excellent. |

Chest broad with good lay of shoulder, good firm body firm and level topline with tail carried well over back. Movement good, showing strong rear action fore and aft. Won the class on her balance on the move. Presentation excellent. |

| 1st | Ch. Coursani Sand Queen | Gold and white. So much to like about this Bitch she just shouts breed type. Head large with wide open expression and the most appealing dark round eyes. Plenty of width to muzzle with excellent jaw, level stop, open nostrils and excellent pigmentation. Shoulders well laid back and firm. Chest and rib broad, well covered strong body. Correct tail set carried high over back. Moved with strong forward action and very strong rear action showing full pad. Such a pleasure to see her move around the ring with such ease and confidence. | 2nd | Ch. Marhilway Explorer The Edge | Gold and white. Smaller than 1st in head but has a lovely expression with dark round eyes. Nice balance with high tail carriage, firm body, level topline. Moved well fore and aft with good drive showing clear pad. Excellent condition. |

Correct tail carriage giving balanced outline. Good movement showing strong rear action. RCC. |
