based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| I would like to thank the LKA committee for inviting me to judge Shih Tzu 2018, I would also like to thank my stewards for all their help and making it an enjoyable day. Sadly I have to say coat before body and muscle is very evident in our breed. Lots of exhibits that caught my eye were disappointing when assessing them for this reason. Some so thin you could play a tune on their ribs. I am pleased to say white of eye was not as evident on the day as on previous occasions. |
| Minor Puppy Dog | ||
| 1st | Ch. Debeaux Having A Ball | Black dog of smaller type, lovely open expression dark eyes and excellent pigment. Good neck and shoulders in good coat for age. Moved confidently. Well handled and presented. |
| 2nd | Im Otis at Marhilway | G/W Baby with a profuse coat and dark pigment. He is a real baby. Wasn’t sure about this showing lark, but has all the time in the world for that. |
| Puppy Dog | ||
| 1st | Saffron Sherhy Temptation (ImpRus) | Well domed head, full dark eye and excellent dentition. Good body through out and well balanced. Level topline, Lovely teapot tail and wonderful angulation. Thoroughly enjoyed his day. |
| Junior Dog | ||
| 1st | Mifcahs Final Fantasy | A grand G/W male shown with a wealth of coat of a correct texture. Superb head piece. This young man is a fool to himself as when he gets his act together he is a real eye catcher using his wonderful back end to his advantage. Sadly on the day he wasn’t giving his all missing out on top honours. Presented to a high standard and sure to have a bright future. |
| 2nd | Quingshui The Legacy Begins | Dark grey and white, well balanced young man. Pleasing head, large dark eyes and excellent dentition. Level top line and good bend of stifle. Shown in good coat and moved well. |

| 1st | Chaela Ralphish | B/W male of smaller type, open expression. Dark eye and lovely tilted nose. Balanced standing and on the move. Well presented and moved covering the ground. |
| 2nd | Suzitzu Lord Kalum of Blackgangshi | Solid gold with typical solids expression. Well balanced covered the ground and close up to winner. |
| Post Graduate Dog | ||
| 1st | Middletune Wildest Charmer | 2 year old male very appealing type, ideal size. Grand head and expression. One with good body, Well balanced with a level top line and well set tail. Good spring of rib and bend of stifle which he uses to his advantage |
| 2nd | Ch. Jacquinta Lets Go Andy JW | Similar type to winner. Shown in a wealth of correct texture coat. Nice head and expression. Large eyes. Level top line and well set and carried tail. Moved with attitude just preferred winner’s front. |
| 3rd | Suzitzu Lord Kalum of Blackgangshi | Solid gold with typical solids expression. Well balanced covered the ground and close up to winner. |

| 1st | Debeaux Take Me to Tokyo | B/W extremely well balanced standing and on the move. Good neck, rib and top line. Excellent bend of stifle that he shows on the move with his strong kick back. Very well coated, presented and handled. |
| 2nd | Chelhama Business Class | 3yrs B/W of smaller type. Well constructed, excellent tail set and carriage. Covers the ground with attitude, nice to see him enjoying the day. |

| 1st | Ch. Weatsom Margarets Legacy for Quingshui JW ShCM | 5 yr old male. Stood out in this class. He has an appealing expression, well domed skull, correct nose placement and full dark eye. Good neck going into well laid shoulders. Excellent spring of rib and well covered. Level top line standing and on the move. Well set and carried tail shown in excellent jacket. Excelled on the move certainly gives his all. A very worthy champion. Very well presented. Pleased to award him the CC. |
| 2nd | Ch. Matsonic Chasing Storms to Bishbow JW | 3yr old male. A different type to one but a very quality male. Pleasing head, good lay back of shoulders. Well ribbed with good covering. Holding a level top line on the move. Shown in a wealth of coat, top drawer presentation. Has real arrogance and owns the ring. RCC |

| 1st | Nafisha’s Nestor | G/W Very spritely for his age and wasn’t phased by the whole situation. Was determined to enjoy his day out. Grand coat of good texture. Fantastic dentition. A real credit to his owner. |

| 1st | Middletune Eternal Flame At Shirkeira JW | It was a lovely class for me to assess, there were many puppies that I am sure will have a promising show career but had to go card-less today.A baby that caught my eye when entering the ring she sure can move and hands on didn’t disappoint. Really enjoyed her day and she oozes confidence. A typical solid face. Large dark eyes and nice domed head. Made extremely well throughout, just very raw at this present time. But with everything in the right place given time she will worry the best. Will follow her career with interest. Pleased to award BPIB. |
| 2nd | Cremefern Dancing On A Dream | B/W 6mth baby. A sassy young lady with a lovely feminine expression and well tilted nose, a lovely dome, neck and shoulders. Excellent tail set and carriage. In good coat of correct texture for age. Moved well once settled. Should have a bright future. |
| VHC | Carlita Dedicate to Believe | Just 6mths Red and white very much a baby. Super feminine expression, wonderful neck and shoulders. Level top line. Thoroughly enjoyed her day and feel certain she will have a bright future. |

| 1st | Chanikos Born To Dream at Ethelsmead | B/W 14 mths Feminine lady with the sweetest expression. Very well balanced. Really covered the ground. Handled and presented to a high standard. |
| 2nd | Ta Maria Royal Fantasy At Matsuba (Fin Imp) | Lovely expression but would have liked darker nose pigmentation. Covered the ground like a rocket. She has a superb jacket, but preferred tail carriage on first. |

| 1st | Ch. Bishbow Summer Breeze | 19mths B/W. A lovely young lady just coming into her prime. Lovely head piece. Kind full dark eyes. Up tilted nose giving a desired Shih Tzu expression. Excellent dentition. Good neck and lay back of shoulders. Level top line well ribbed and one of the few exhibits carrying a good body. Wonderful bend of stifle which she used to her advantage on the move. Tail well set and carried. Good outline which she maintained on the move. Shown in grand jacket, excellent presentation. Delighted to award her 1st CC and BOB. |
| 2nd | Chanikos Blissfull Dreams | 14 mths pale G/W Very feminine well balanced young lady. Excellent expression. Good shoulders and level top line which she maintained on the move. Shown in excellent coat of correct texture. Very well presented and handled. |

| 1st | Ch. Paliden Star Delight | 2yrs Solid Gold. Another very feminine and typy young lady. Excellent balance which she maintained on the move. Lovely expression. full dark eyes and excellent pigmentation. Very good dentition. Carries good coat. Moved with great attitude. Very well presented and handled. |
| 2nd | Qanukakira Oopzadayzy | 2yrs solid Gold. Very similar type to winner. A young lady with bags of attitude and great ring presence. She really catches your eye. Well balanced. Handled and presented to a high standard as always from this kennel. I’m sure they will change places on many occasions at future shows. |

| 1st | Ch. Shalehan Yarina For Mifcah JW ShCM | Gold brindle white. A very worthy young champion. She oozes style and presence. Well balanced, class head and excellent dentition. Good neck going into well laid back shoulders. Level top line which she holds on the move. Well sprung ribs and correct tail set. Shown in the best of jackets with excellent presentation. Sadly not on her best form today, a little uncertain at times not showing her true movement. Which at this top level went against her. Still well worthy of the RCC. |
| 2nd | Warathwaite Pure As Snow | G/W Very feminine young lady. Lovely balance with a level top line. Well set teapot tail which she holds on the move. She covers the ground showing off her wonderful back action. Presented and handled to a high standard. Preferred the front assembly of first. |

| 1st | Little Minx J adore The First | 7yrs G/W of slightly larger type. Excellent condition for age. A little more body would complete the picture. Shown in good coat. Very well presented and well handled. Really enjoyed her day out. Best veteran in Breed. |
