based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| I last awarded CCs 10 years ago and during that 10 years there have been quite a few changes to the breed. Presentation and handling are very good. But sadly, in the lower classes, there is a worrying absence of basic breed type. Alien expressions, short ribs, upright shoulders, narrow heads which follow through to narrow bodies, incorrect stilted rear action, and some with paddling in front Thankfully in the top classes the breed is strong. I was more than delighted with my top winners, beautiful heads typical balance, really lovely movement, and all had that essential “essence of a Shih Tzu”. |

| 1st | Ch. Mifcahs The King And I JW (Dk,Nor,Swe,No,Int) | A fabulous class of superb dogs. I had to split hairs to choose the winner, any one could have had top honours. Such a pleasure to judge this superb dog. The head is a delight, the expression is soft but handsome. The eyes are dark and well- spaced, the skull is large. The nose well- placed, the jaw is wide. Wonderful balance of head to tail. Moved absolutely true and was put down to perfection. Was happy to award him the CC and Best of Breed. |

Everything to like from her superb balance to her excellent movement. The perfect Shih Tzu shape which fits the Standard exactly. Beautiful head with correct nose placement and pigment, broad jaw with good dentition. A deep broad chest, well laid- back shoulder and well sprung ribs. Moved with great style around the ring keeping her perfect outline. The absolute essence of a Shih Tzu. Delighted to award her the Bitch CC. |
