Thank you to the committee for giving me my first ticket appointment in this breed. As many will have been aware this was a very emotional day for me, as mom, who passed away in 2019, had planned to come and support me ringside. Not having her there was difficult, but with the support of a good friend who accompanied me, my amazing stewards, Bill and Trish Gray, and the majority of those exhibiting, I enjoyed the day more than I could have hoped. Thank you one and all. The quality of the bitches, in the main, was far superior than the dogs. Poor toplines and upright stifles were a problem in many and movement was adversely affected as a result. There were only a few present with the correct coat texture and many were just too soft and silky. I think a few weren’t happy with the echoing effect of the hall and could well do far better in a different environment. I could have had my pick for RBCC but my BCC and BOB stood out as the easy winner from the off.

Minor Puppy Dog
1stCh. Cedarhythe Majical Destiny7mth b&w dog with a lot to like. Needs to settle on the table, and really thought it was playtime in the challenge for BPD but that kind of enthusiasm is endearing. Lovely head, dark eye and correct muzzle. Has a super, typy outline and when he got it together moved with drive and reach.
2ndDaltricia Joshamee GibbsVery much still a baby but v. promising. Gold boy with lovely black mask. Nicely bodied for age. Is a lovely shape, with a good topline, but tail is a touch flat at present. Moves well for a baby, and shown in immaculate condition.

Puppy Dog
1stTameron Mr Pure Xcess9 ½ mths G&W. Very mature boy with so much to like. Nice dark eye, wide muzzle with excellent pigment on wide nostrils. Beautiful straight topline which he holds moving and in repose. Excellent lay of shoulders, first class front assembly, good spring of rib. He moves out so confidently and with such style that he couldn’t be denied RDCC, BPD
2ndMiracey Sand Warrior For TilbeDark G&W. Lovely head and eye. Super body and shown in lovely condition. Glorious coat of correct texture. Not so settled as 1, but he strides out well when he gets it together. Exciting prospect.

Junior Dog
1stShanitaus ObsessionG&W 15mths. Fills the eye on entering the ring and didn’t disappoint on closer inspection. Dark expressive eyes. Good muzzle and dentition. Good for size and shape with level topline. Has a tendency to pull his legs in when standing, which adversely affects his outline standing. Moves well, with drive. Will be interested to see how he develops.

2ndJadoremy Red Bounty Sniper For JuhuaNice for size and type. Head furnishings need to come on but coat is clean and well groomed. He’s a touch feminine in head for my liking but is well balanced. Has a good spring of rib. If he’d moved as well in his first class, as he did in this one, he’ have certainly had a placing

2ndGladmin Soweto Storm JWAnother nice d. who unfortunately dropped his tail on the move. The set is correct however and quite possibly one affected by the echo of the hall. He is a lovely shape, with ideal length of rib, and loin. Level topline, held both standing and on the move.

Minor Puppy Bitch
1stCedarhythe Dance To Our TuneLoved this baby from the off. 7 ½ mths b&w. I loved her size and shape. Super head and eye. Lovely nose placement, pigment and muzzle. Good dentition. Her conformation is spot on and her size belies the hard condition she was shown in. Super topline, correct set of tail and carried beautifully. Her confidence on the move, her reach and drive, for such a youngster were just so good. Delighted to award her BPIB and over the moon to see her placed PG4 later in the day.

Good shoulders, nice spring of rib, level topline. Super tailset and carriage, moves out well. Shown in first class condition, handled to advantage, and one of three considered for higher honours. Will be interesting to see how she develops as I believe this girl could make up before too long.

Post Graduate Bitch
1stTameron Miss Reveal at CaljentaHard to understand why either of my first two are still in PG, and much of 1 applies to 2. G&W b. with the melting, typy expression I like. Feminine throughout, lovely dark eye. First class nose-placement with excellent muzzle. Her conformation beneath her slightly wild coat, of correct texture, is spot on. Super shoulders with lovely level topline. Moves out with reach and drive. Losing out on the final consideration, on overall finish only. A very nice bitch.
2ndPeekin Miss Jazz Ming-TuAnother lovely bitch, dark eye, good muzzle, though I would prefer just a tad less nose. Lovely conformation, and presented in super coat. Good shoulders, level topline. Super set on of tail, and carriage and moved with drive. Although ultra feminine, I just preferred the expression of 1

Limit Bitch
1stCh. Pekoe Surprise Surprise JWG&W B. Although her head isn’t to my preference, this b. is undeniably stunning. Lovely dark eyes, nose placement and pigment is good. Balanced throughout, super shoulders, good spring of rib, level topline, and a tail that could wag for Britain – superb temperament. Shown in first class condition and handled to advantage.
2ndTameron Miss Daisy Blush at PortiakissNice bitch, arrogant expression, though not so feminine as 1. Good dark eyes, good width of muzzle. Nice shoulders, level topline. Super outline, excellent tailset and carriage. Moves well.

Open Bitch
1stCh. Tameron Miss Black OpiumIt is said that every dog has its faults, and whilst this exhibit is no exception to that edict, the depth of quality of this b. is such that they almost pale into insignificance. From her exquisite head with eyes of correct size and colour, down to her perfect turn of stifle this girl is worthy of the plaudits laid on her. It can be hard to sit ringside when the same dog/bitch seems to be doing all the winning, but quality will out. Her correctly laid shoulders, spring of rib and level topline, are borne out by her correct reach and drive. On entering the ring, she catches the eye, with an attitude and arrogance that a judge can only hope to see. As always from this kennel put down and handled to perfection. Whilst my DCC was stunning, this b. was exceptional, and on the day, without equal. Delighted to award BCC (her 30th) and BOB.
2ndTameron Miss ParisAnother stunning b. that I’ve admired from the side of the ring. Ultra feminine, superb, balanced head. Wide set, dark eyes of correct size. Adequate length of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Super front assembly, good spring of rib with level topline, correct for length of rib to loin. Excellent set on of tail, and carriage is correct. One of three I considered for RBCC, winning out on having the overall type that I prefer. RBCC.
