Full Critique for Boston & District CS 2022
Judge : Miss Susan Johnson
This critique reflects the judge's opinion
based on what they saw on the day of the show.
I would like to thank the Boston committee for their kind invitation to judge and my two stewards for their help in keeping things going smoothly. Also, thanks to the exhibitors who came under me, the quality of the dogs especially in the higher classes was amazing and at times made my job quite demanding. Over many years of judging, I have noticed different problems creeping in to our breed, four years ago when I judged poor mouths-narrow underjaws especially in the males. This doesn’t seem to have improved. I am also concerned about the close hind action in some exhibits. However, there were some stunning exhibits presented. My Open dog in particular was amazing, what a wonderful class and one I really enjoyed judging. Some very nice dogs left the ring cardless. Classes like this show the depth of quality our breed can produce. Thank you, exhibitors, in trusting me to go over your dogs. |
