based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| Firstly, thank you to the Shih Tzu Club for affording me the pleasure of judging their Spring Open show, but Thank you to all the exhibitors for giving me the honour of assessing their beloved dogs. I hope that you find my critique to be worthy. The show, as “The Shih Tzu Club” show, ran smoothly, with the help of the committee and of course my several stewards! It had great atmosphere, and a fun day was had. The weather stayed dry and what a wind but how nice to see our dogs flowing around the ring with the breeze in their coat. |

Dark eye, correct ear placement. Well-proportioned neck going into well laid shoulders. Broad chest, muscled legs with ample bone. Tail carried high over back on move and whist stacked. Correct movement for and back. Pleased to award BPD. |

Moved with drive carrying tail over his level topline. Coat of good condition which the wind showed. Pleased to award several classes. |

The wind was his friend and showed his stunning head when on the move. |

Good broad rounded head, with large dark eyes placed well apart, nice wide open nostril with muzzle width, square and dark pigmentation. Good width of jaw with good dentition and enough chin to give arrogant yet warm expression. Arched neck into well laid shoulders carrying his head high. Strong muscled fore and hind quarters. Level topline with tea pot tail set on high. Moved with drive and force even in the wind, with coat flowing magnificently. Proud to give Best dog and Best opposite sex. |
| 2nd | Ch. Daltricia Jamie Lee JW ShCEx OSW | 4.6 years old Black and white. Again, a very masculine dog. Hard to choose between the 1st and this one. He has all the attributes of the first, moved magnificently around the ring with coat in superb condition flowing and tail carried high over his back. A very worthy champion. |

Well arched neck into nice lay of shoulder, deep let down rib, well coupled, muscular short fore and aft quarters. High tail carriage. Coat in lovely condition. Moved well but didn’t like the wind. Best veteran in show. |

Moved with purpose, kicking out showing full pad, around the ring showing herself to her full potential. One to watch. Awarded BPB and also BPIS. |

Correct Jaw and dentition with a lovely chin. Well arched neck going into good lay of shoulder. Deep, well let down chest. Forequarters well-muscled, hind quarters muscular with well-rounded thighs. Rounded firm feet, correct tail carriage. She obviously loves her owner and showed herself such on the move. Moving with reach and drive, a lovely picture in the wind. Awarded RBIS. |

Good neck going into good lay of shoulder, ample bone throughout, well-muscled hindquarters giving her the drive on the move. Correct tail set, beautiful overall outline stacked and on the move. She challenged my RBIS, but her time will come. |

Good dark pigmentation throughout. Tail carriage correct teapot on move. Showed full reach and drive showing full pad at rear. Her well-groomed coat flowed beautifully in the wind. Pleased to award BIS. |
