based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| I’d very much like to thank The Shih Tzu Club of South Wales and Western Counties for inviting me to judge their Championship Show held in conjunction with Bath General Championship Show 28th May 2023. I had a very warm welcome and would also like to thank my stewards on the Day. I was very honoured to receive such a marvellous entry. Overall, I found the breed to be of good quality. My main winners were of excellent type. However, there were one or two points within the breed that gave me reason for concern. Firstly, I observed a few dogs single tracking behind. The saying goes if a dog is constructed correctly, it will move correctly. Secondly, some dogs had insufficient length to neck. Also, there where those whose tails were carried low and not set high which is needed for correct balance both standing and on the move. |

| 1st | Emerson Alpiu Slenis Of Alchez JW ShCEx OSW | Top quality dog so very well angulated throughout, He draws the eye in immediately and he certainly doesn’t disappoint on examination. So very sound in both Fore and Hindquarters. Good rib and firm level topline. A sturdy dog in nice muscle tone. Excellent head, tail angulation kept on move. Moved with drive and covered the ground with ease. He is presented in beautiful coat and condition. |

Chest wide and of good depth. Well set to shoulders. Ample bone. Presented a good balance both standing and on the move. Again, nicely presented. |

| 1st | Miracey Sand Warrior For Tilbe | Quality dog, has excellent ring presence and doesn’t disappoint on table. Soundly constructed and well angulated throughout. Loved his head, darkest of eyes very pleasing expression. Well laid shoulders, broad chest. Sturdy and in lovely body tone and condition. Beautiful coat and excellent presentation. Moved around the ring with drive. Well done. I think this boy will gain his crown in time. |
| 2nd | Matsha Jambalaya | Such a same this lovely boy had to come up against 1st today. Another lovely dog, soundly built, good angulation to Fore and Hindquarters. Wide head, level topline, tail set good. Moved and showed very well. Presentation first class. |

| 1st | Ch. Mifcahs The King And I JW (Dk,Nor,Swe,No,Int) | I have watched this dog from a puppy to where he is today. I was so pleased to finally judge him and he didn’t disappoint. Absolutely beautiful dog. He catches the eye on entering the ring. He is so well put together. A broad head ample muzzle excellent nose placement dark expressive eye. His expression is to die for, so arrogant. Well laid shoulders, chest broad, good bone and sturdy throughout. Neck of good length. Level topline. Tail carried level to head producing a good balance. He moves soundly with such drive covering the ground with ease. He is presented in such a beautiful coat of lovely condition. Credit to his owner Dog CC and Best of Breed. |

Good neck and shoulders. Well boned and sturdy. Good muscle tone, good topline both standing and on move, correct tail set. Sound movement. First class presentation. RCC. |

| 1st | Senousi Love The Dress | Top quality bitch, loved her. She presents such a lovely overall picture. Wide head and such an arrogant expression that sadly so many are losing in the breed today. Both shoulders and chest so well constructed, level top line. She was in lovely body condition very good muscle tone and so sound. If a dog is put together correctly it will move correctly and she did. She covered the ground with ease. Shown to perfection. BCC. |
