Full Critique for Extra Champ Show STC 2021

This critique reflects the judge's opinion
based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| It was great to get back to some sort of normality and the Show was held in an ideal venue with spacious rings and excellent lighting. My thanks to the hard working Committee and to my very efficient ring stewards and to the exhibitors for their sportsmanship. The entry of 90 was considered excellent by the Committee. I found that size, overall balance, mouths, toplines, coats and temperament were excellent but on the negative size the first to get my attention was the difficulty to find the correct broad skull, large eyes and big noses that help to give the head the chrysanthemum like appearance. Hindquarters were OK but the lack of muscle tone affected the correct movement we expect, also quite a few lacked the spring of ribs expected. |
