based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| Thank you to the Manchu Shih Tzu society for the invitation to judge this show and thank you to all the exhibitors for your entries. It was a lovely sunny day, and it was wonderful to be outside without too many restrictions and so nice for us all to get together again. A big thank you to my steward, Grant Carter for all his hard work on the day. I found many of the exhibits to have the characteristics essential to the breed, however I was concerned about some front constructions, as a breed we’ve been working on legs as straight as possible, consistent with a broad well let down chest, in some exhibits there’s still room for improvement. Fortunately, a minority. |

| 1st | Marhilway Driving Edge At Jacquinta JW | 7-month-old boy, full of himself and well deservedly. Deep red/gold and white. Excellent proportions, large head, correct skull proportion large dark eyes. Wonderful ribcage. Moved correctly with great ease. Excellent tail set and carriage. One to watch. |

| 1st | Ch. Matsuba King Of Hearts | Gold and white 11 month old. Lovely puppy, very good expression, oriental, excellent dark eye. Strong neck. Level top line. Correct tail set. Correct ribcage. Laid back shoulder, well angulated at the rear, giving beautiful movement, showing reach to the front and drive from the rear. Presented beautifully. |
| 2nd | Santosha Dark Secret With Coursani | Good solid black, with excellent head proportions and expression. Good size ear leathers. Sturdy in every sense. Well muscled, well angulated, larger in type. |

| 1st | Baccibo Truly Madley Deeply | Deep gold, 15 month old. Mature and masculine. Broad skull, dark eyes, Wide jaw Sound construction, strong arched neck, large, barrelled ribcage, sitting well and low between the front legs, good top line, correct tail set. Well angulated rear, giving the drive in the rear movement. Presentation needs work, and the handler needs to consider how to show this dog’s very good points. |
| 2nd | Santosha The Winter Soldier At Honeyshuchun | 19 month old gold and white dog, Presented beautifully, a very good large head, beautiful dark eye. Excellent jaw and dentition. Shoulder laid back. Deep ribcage, of correct length, correct length of loin, showed rear pads on the move, smaller in type and less mature than 1. on the day. |

| 1st | Paliden Rockstar | Correct skull, and ear placement, dark eyes, correct stop and nose length, jaw could do with little more width, strong neck. Level top line and correct tail set. Wasn’t totally happy with the length of the grass, movement alternated, including a bit of a hop sometimes. |
| 2nd | Charonnis Vegas High Roller | Three Year old solid gold, beautifully presented dog, with a head that was large and broad with large dark eyes, very good nose placement and wide jaw with correct dentition. He is well constructed. Very heavy this, plus his very abundant coat and the heat of the day worked against him. His movement was restricted.. |

| 1st | Gladmin Soweto Storm JW | Three and a half year old black and white dog, I thought him to be a very honest dog with so many of the attributes needed to be seen in the breed. Good size head, with correct proportions, ears correctly positioned, large well pigmented nose and eyes, broad jaw, correct dentition. Strong sturdy dog, ample bone and muscle, huge ribcage well supported in his front construction. Level top line, angulated, but no exaggeration. A little reluctant to move, handler had to put in the effort to show he could do it. |
| 2nd | Santosha Polar Star | Four year old black and white dog, a little smaller than 1, a nice boy to go over. Large head, correct width of jaw, and this followed through out. Correct angulation front and rear. Level top line, good tail set and carriage, held his balance on the move. Moved out freely and well. |

| 1st | Ch. Mifcahs The King And I JW (Nor,Dk Int.) | A very mature, masculine two year old gold and white dog. Presentation, excellent. Good head, width of jaw, dentition. Arrogant expression. Strong well-muscled neck to carry that large head, particularly on the move, this put him above 2 in my placings. Huge barrelled rib cage well encased by sturdy almost straight legs, good top line, tail set and carriage. Enthusiastic on the move, could have moved a little slower and would still have shown his good attributes. RCC |
| 2nd | Miracey Sand Warrior For Tilbe | Another two year old gold and white dog, who was very similar to 1. On the day he didn’t carry his head as well as 1, could have been due to the heat. |

| 1st | Ch. Ashmakin Bodacious Smooth for JaxTzu JW ShCM ShCEX | Five year old solid gold/ brindle. well-proportioned and held that important balance between head and tail. Acceptable ribcage and top line, the skull dome is correct. Moved freely and with enthusiasm. |
| 2nd | Ch. Daltricia Jamie Lee JW ShCEx OSW | Three year old black and white dog, good sized head, wide and dark eyed. Broad jaw. Plenty of Substance, bone and well-muscled, head and tail balanced each other, I would prefer a fraction less on the leg height. Moved out well showing full pad. |

| 1st | Marhilway Explorer The Edge | Eight month old gold puppy, with the prettiest feminine expression. All the head proportions correct, large dark eyes, excellent wide jaw, correct dentition. Laid back shoulder. Good top line and tail set, needs to gain confidence on the move. |
| 2nd | Keytor Queen Of Jazz | Seven month old gold and white puppy, also hesitant on the move. A fraction taller on the leg. |

| 1st | Tansingh Dance Me On And On | Ten month old gold and white puppy, good head, good sized dark eyes, good stop and tilt to the nose. Good jaw width. Nicely arched neck, which carried the head well on the move, balancing the well-set tail. Move with lots of drive. |
| 2nd | Cremefern Pretty Gorgeous | Eleven month old black and white girl. Well balanced, good proportioned, well-muscled neck thus carried her head well, holding that balance on the move. Placed on her movement. |

Feminine expression, good head proportions, including stop and nose placement, width through the jaw, following throughout the body. Good balance between head and tail, level top line with correct length of ribcage and loin. Moved very well showing drive and a full pad. |

| 1st | Ch. Rossvale’s Finnish Model | One year old gold and white bitch, with the most beautiful expression. Set in a large broad skull, very wide jaw, carrying that width all through her body, well laid-back shoulders. Ribcage correct proportions and well let down between the front legs, well angulated at the rear. Reflected in her movement. |
| 2nd | Gladmin Durbans Diva For Maili | Two year old gold and white bitch, closely matched to 1. Correct head, good muzzle, jaw and dentition, well pigmented. Pleasing expression. Good construction front and rear. Illustrated in reaching and driving on the move. A fraction more height on the leg than 1. |

| 1st | Rossvale Forever Dreaming | Solid gold three year old bitch. This was the one I wanted to take home. Large head, with large dark round eyes, ears, eyes and nose all well placed and darkly pigmented, wide padded muzzle and jaw. Strong nicely arched neck carrying the head well, in that arrogant style. Laid back shoulders, good barrel shaped rib cage. Well proportioned to the loin, and height of the legs. Head and tail well balanced. Presented well, but not exaggerated in any way. BCC |

Laid back shoulders, good rounded ribcage, encased well by front construction. Level top line, correct tail set. Correct length of loin. Angulated at the rear. Moved well. A fraction smaller type than 1. Very close in quality. |
