Congratulations to the hardworking Secretary Jane Gregory and her committee for firstly achieving Championship status and also running their show successfully. I was delighted to be invited to judge and with my entry many thanks to the exhibitors for accepting my placings so gracefully. BCC & BEST OF BREED: De La Cour, Coursani Sand Queen (GKC) just loved this gorgeous pale gold and white bitch and I understand she became a champion in the afternoon. Delighted for her – shown in great coat and condition, very typical, good wide-open nostrils and dark pigment. Feminine expression and large dark eyes set correctly with a good muzzle width. Level topline with a teapot tail. Rounded ribs and well laid back shoulders with good angulation which enabled her to flow and move so beautifully. My easy winner on the day. Dog CC: Briggs, Bel Lux UK Ch Warathwaite The Kingslayer. A different type to the bitch CC winner, slightly taller however a worthy winner. Presented to perfection and in wonderful coat and condition, attractive deep gold and white. Well balanced with a super teapot tail set and level topline. He flows around the ring and really commands it, his deep rib cage, well laid back shoulder and correct movement enables him to this. Attractive head and lovely dark, round eyes, correctly placed with a wonderful arrogant expression. Res Dog CC: Dyker, Thaisu Morningstar Avec Kimevan JW. Another lovely dog again shown in super coat and condition. Beautiful head and expression, with large round well set eyes and great pigment. He carried his broad head high, was well balanced, deep chest and with a good tail set. He moved beautifully and flowed around the ring keeping his topline while he went. Res Bitch CC: Brown, Rossvale Dreaming Again. Well balanced pretty gold and white bitch, low to ground with a typical head and expression and large, dark round eyes. Good outline and topline which she held on the move as she flowed around. Good angulation, deep chest and front which enabled her to do this. I am sure she will continue to do well – very typical. Best Puppy: Kendrick, Kalawoo Phoenix From Isishouse. Black and white - well balanced, taller in type, attractive head and expression with dark, round correctly set eyes, open nostrils, good chin and width of jaw. Good tailset and outline. She moved well and was best puppy on maturity as it was the minor puppy’s first show. I am sure they will change places on another occasion. Best Veteran: Dyker, Thaisu Desperate Housewife For Kimevan. Such a pretty 9.5 year old bitch really enjoying her day out moving smartly around the ring. She is very typical with a soft yet arrogant expression and gorgeous large round eyes. She was in great coat and condition for age. Good tail set and overall balance. Stood alone however very worthy best veteran. Best Junior: McMillan, Yazhi Dancing Queen. Smaller in type than some of the others on the day, however she was well balanced with a typical head and expression, large round eyes and a good tailset. She moved well and was in good coat and condition with a good depth of chest and rounded rib. Best Special Beginner: Hiscock, Shidizzle Murray’s Mint.
