| Best of Breed, BCC, 1st OB | 2025 | Crufts | Miss S Bird | Wow, What a class!! Full of quality and although a cliché, many quality exhibits did go unplaced. I loved this 4 yr old R/W girl who is so typical of the breed. Beautiful in outline, good bone yet totally feminine. Exquisite head piece with excellent open nostrils, even after all the movement I got her to do, she didn’t pant at all. Nicely arched neck of good length runs smoothly into well laid shoulders. She has good depth and width of chest, well sprung ribs which reach well back. Level back with excellent tail carriage which balances her perfectly. As one would expect with her conformation, she moves effortlessly round the ring with good reach and drive. Delighted to award her the CC & BOB. |

She has a good angulations and good depth to chest and her ribcage is rounded and well ribbed back. She has the correct tail set and carriage, and she is balanced in outline. She moves soundly and was moved at a good pace. She has a good coat texture and is handled and presented well. Res CC. |

She is a dream to go over on the table. she has the most lovely head and expression, large dark eye, nice broad muzzle and perfect mouth. Super neck and shoulder, correct in front, her topline is level and firm, well ribbed, tail carried correctly. Her coat just gleamed and really that was the icing on a super cake! Bitch CC and BIS and I’m sure she will win many more on this form. |

Outstanding as for breed type, proportions, construction and quality. I like absolutely everything about her, and she has every quality in a remarkable degree. Just about the perfect outline for the breed, her name could not suit her better. Lovely expressive head with all the important features. Perfect coat quality. And then she moved like a million dollars. To me, this is one of the best Shih Tzus ever. What more could you possibly ask for? CC & BOB. |

I would happily have signed CCs for those who left the ring unplaced. In the end it came down to detail and personal priorities and preferences and I had a very hard job separating 1st and 2nd. 1 De La Cour’s CH COURSANI SAND QUEEN (CC) 2 Crossley’s CH SANTOSHA SILHOUETTE (RCC) Two absolute beauties in my opinion, a little different in type to my eyes but both so correct to the standard, supreme movers and stunning showgirls both in immaculate condition, they gave me a lot to ponder. On the table there is nothing I would want to change on 1 so, having moved them again and still found nothing to split them I had to take just one point into consideration. On the other hand, 2, with a fine and more mature undercoat than 1 presented the more typical and finished picture. Needless to say, I loved them both and would feel churlish to say what it is that made my decision, as even now I wonder if I got it right. |

Top Quality stunning red/white with high set tea pot tail having large eye catching white fringes and white shawl. I stood back to admire her breedy silhouette, her proudly arched neck, well laid shoulder, level topline is kept on move, head is round, wide set dark twinkling eye, plenty of nose leather, wide jaw slightly undershot with my favourite tip tilt to nose giving that typical arrogant shih-tzu look. She is stunning and in her prime, movement is smooth with plenty of reach and drive showing rear pads, unstoppable today. Such a beautiful old fashioned girl. |

She had the best of heads with heavily coated well-placed large ears, wonderful round eyes situated well apart disclosing that expression of warmth and intelligence that is difficult to define until you actually see it. She had a beautifully crested neck that was set into shoulders that were clean cut and well laid back. She had a super shapely well covered frame that was sturdy and nicely coupled, chest broad and deep, and her back was straight. This bitch set up and showed to advantage and moved easily and freely around the ring retaining her topline on the go. |

Presented to perfection, this girl has the sweetest of feminine expressions, created from a broad head, the darkest of round eyes black pigmentation and a wide jaw. A lovely head to tail balance and well-proportioned body completed a profile of quality on the table. The bar was kept extremely high when it came to her sublime flowing movement around the ring, perfectly handled as always. |

On the debit side, she was a little unsettled and could be a shade darker in eye but beyond that, there is little I would change at this point. So feminine and typy. Lovely balanced head with everything in harmony, first rate construction and a quality coat coming along nicely. Moved with assurance. Really liked her. |
