2nd Junior Dog | 2025 | Manchester
1st Puppy Dog | 2024 | STC Summer Open Show | Mrs D Whincup | 11 month old gold and white male, groomed to perfection. Head broad, and rounded. Enough width between dark eyes. Leathers set low dropping and blending in to neck hair. Good width to muzzle, enough under jaw, with correct dentition. Enough neck. Fore quarters straight, round feet. Topline level. Tail set high and carried well over his back. A quality puppy that moves out well, he is just a little big for me. |

Res Puppy Dog | 2024 | Shih Tzu Club | Mrs S Stevens
2nd Puppy Dog | 2024 | Midland Counties | Mr E Engh | A very eye-catching dog, very well presented. He has obvious qualities, but to me he is too up on legs and too square in his body for balance. Attractive head with well placed nose, expressive eyes. Well rounded skull. Good neck into shoulder. Could do with some more angulation both ends. Well set and carried tail. Excellent coat, brilliantly presented. Could be more confident on the table, but was a happy mover. |
Best Puppy 1st Puppy Dog | 2024 | South Wales | Miss J Kitchener | Stylish 11 months who has little you would want to change on the table with a broad rounded skull, perfect mouth, short muzzle and open nostrils nicely placed just above the line of his large dark eyes. He has a good front and shoulder, sturdy bone which is nicely wrapped around ribcage which can perhaps still develop, for me he would benefit by carrying more bodyweight. Level topline and presenting a good outline both stacked and in action. Tail set and carriage are good. Sound with lovely drive, excellent reach and proud carriage on the move, showing full pad. Carries sufficient coat but does need more abundance and fullness in coat as he does appear a shade leggy at this stage. A simple case of maturity in coat and body will complete the picture in the fullness of time but his quality shines through already. Best Puppy. |
1st Puppy Dog 2nd Junior Dog | 2024 | Darlington | Mr M James | A slightly different type however he possesses many good breed points. Scores in head and expression. Very good in front with good bone. Good ribs and rear with strong hocks which gives him good movement. Super coat which is very well presented. |

1st Junior Dog 1st Puppy Dog | 2024 | City of Birmingham | Mr E Paterson | Already a glamour boy, lovely head and eye excellent pigment. Good for bone and feet, lovely in profile and looks great on the go round maintaining his top line. |
Best Puppy 1st Puppy Dog 1st Minor Puppy Dog | 2024 | Bournemouth | Mr B Gray | 9m G&W, lovely compact puppy, head of quality with dark eye and good width to jaw, slender neck into well laid shoulders, depth to body with strong loin, quarters well muscled all through, moving he came into his own, I can see a bright future for this young man BP. |
Dog RCC, BP, 1st MPD, 1st PD | 2024 | Leeds | Mr S Payne
Best of Breed, DCC, BP, 1st PD, 1st MPD | 2024 | Boston & District CS | Mrs M Wildman | Stunning gold & white baby of 7mths with the arrogant attitude and ‘chrysanthemum-like’ face that we look for in this breed. His head, although not yet broken, was stunning, broad, round, with correctly placed beautiful large dark eyes. His ears were heavily coated for age, correctly set and drooping, and he had a square short muzzle, defined stop and wide mouth, his bite was level on the day although this could change with age. He had a good neck with slight arch to nape that was comfortably set into shoulders that were setback at the correct angle. His front assembly was clean with all parts fitting comfortably together and his body was solid, shapely and slightly longer than high. His topline was level, legs short and rear quarters correctly angulated with well-rounded thighs and firm, well covered round feet. This youngster was nicely coated for age, his tail was set on high and carried gaily over his back thus producing a pleasing balance of outline. He stood on good legs and feet and was presented in excellent coat and condition, he moved around the ring easily and freely with a smooth-flowing, sure footed easy action that was both economical and pleasing to see. I am not a breed specialist, but to my mind this boy is outstanding, and I was more than pleased to award him the DCC, BOB, BP & Puppy Group 3 later. PS I have just heard that he has since won a RCC plus a 2nd CC whilst not yet 10mths. How wonderful is that. |
1st Puppy Dog 2nd Minor Puppy Dog | 2024 | Blackpool | Dr A Paloheimo | Taller puppy with promising head, excellent pigment, very sound, moves well for his age. |
1st Novice Dog 2nd Puppy Dog VHC Minor Puppy Dog | 2024 | Border Union | Mr T Wareing | A very inquisitive gold and white youngster. Dark eyes with a warm expression. Pleasing to see such a level topline, both on the table and moving well around the ring. The youngster was among a quality entry of male puppies today and I’ve no doubt will enjoy much success as he matures. |
1st Minor Puppy Dog 1st Novice Dog 2nd Puppy Dog | 2024 | STC Spring Open Show | Miss T Jones | 6-month-old gold and white pup. A very excitable puppy who settled better in the second class, however, once settled, he moved lovely with good balance. He had a pleasing head with a good mouth. Good depth of chest and well ribbed. I would have preferred a better tail carriage. A good coat and another promising puppy. |
1st Minor Puppy Dog 1st Novice Dog 2nd Puppy Dog | 2024 | Three Counties | Mrs J Paradise | Gold/white parti in lovely puppy coat, liked his head with short muzzle, open nostrils & slightly undershot bite. Well boned forelegs, holds a level topline & ribs have good spring. He goes well on the move though would prefer to see his tail coming over his back. |
1st Novice Dog 1st Minor Puppy Dog | 2024 | Bath | Mr H Ogden | Just 6 months yet so sound & secure, fabulous face with desired 1 inch of nose so well placed, width through both front & rear to give a definite oblong shape, cleanly fronted & of good bone, moved with breed arrogance of a firm rear showing drill pad. Surely a valuable acquisition with a future. |
