I believe there is a rumour going around that I have decided that I will be the "official photographer" for OTL.
Can I confirm that I've never taken this on in any official capacity, that (as far as I'm aware) Adam has not given the job to anyone in any official capacity, and because I don't go to every show it would be impossible for me to accept this kind of position even if I had been asked.
If anyone has been upset or offended by the fact that I've been taking the photographs at Manchester and LKA recently and their nose has been put out of joint, then I'm sorry - I was taking the photographs for my own interest, and although I forwarded them to Adam, it's Adam's decision whether he posts them on the forum or not.
As I was given a new camera for Christmas and it would be a waste of time leaving it in the box, it's up to me where and how I use it - I will continue to take photographs at dog shows I attend, purely for my own interest. I will forward them to Adam to use on OTL if he wants to. If people have a problem with that, then sorry, but that's tough.
Hi Kirsty,
I havent heard anything but it is nice for us at home who dont go to the shows to see pictures of the dogs that win, and also for us that do go its nice to be able to see pictures of the dogs who win and if we are lucky then pictures of our dogs.
Going back a bit I didnt like any pictures of my dogs being taken without my permission as you never had control of them and a few were sold and ended up in calanders abroad, so I think if someone dosent want there picture taken then they should say and I am sure those taking the pictures will be happy not to do so rather than upset anyone, when Sasha was made up I was lucky someone had taken a picture of the judge giving me her 3rd CC, friends had taken photos but that one photo captured the hand over, I didnt know it had been taking until I looked on the internet and saw it, those memories cant be replaced, and you can look back at the pictures and see , but I have no objection to you taking pictures of my dogs Kirsty but I am getting on in years now and if its a digital camera can you make me look a bit younger, say 15 years younger.
Maggie
