based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| Thank you to all exhibitors for your entry on my first CC appointment and your sporting acceptance of my decisions. My stewards were great in keeping everything running smoothly. I found the bitches stronger than the dogs, however all were very well presented and handled sympathetically – no tight leads or lifting by the tail or lead (all bug bears of mine!). All of my top winners were great examples of our breed and I would urge anyone to ask their owners to look at these dogs close up to appreciate the true qualities of our breed and what we’re sadly losing – low to the ground, slightly longer than tall, well tucked in elbows, round ribcage, high set tails, and full pads. For me, the Shih Tzu should have an arrogant expression too, and all of my winners had the strong underjaw to support a tip-tilted nose which produces that wonderful “look at me�? attitude. |

| 1st | Minfaa Oh Shanandore With Sobriety | 9 month old g/w with a gentle expression, large round head, wide round jaw. Right amount of neck leading into a nice straight topline. Super teapot tail. Strong lad with solid body. Coat coming along nicely. |
| 2nd | Middletune Wildest Charmer | 11 month old g/w, heavy boned with a real masculine expression, wide jaw and darkest round eyes. Well ribbed and strong mover. Just preferred the expression of 1. |

| 1st | Yung Lo’s Who Needs A Dress | Good things do come in small packages! One of the smallest in the class but still top quality. G/w with a soft yet arrogant expression, lovely round head with darkest eyes, strong chin and padded muzzle. Elbows well tucked into a round ribcage just the right length, ending with nice strong hocks and great turn of stifle. Moved round the ring well. |

Round head, with dark eyes, firm jaw, wide chest, well muscled, which allows him to motor round the ring showing his lovely balanced outline with ease. Very well presented and handled to perfection. |
| 2nd | Ch. Carlita Reason To Dream JW ShCM | G/w who is very well presented. A masculine young man who is extremely well presented. Super outline high set tail. Needs to body up a little, when I’m sure he will challenge the best of them. |

| 1st | Senobles Happy | A smart little dog, smaller in size, but everything in proportion. Super round head, soft expression with tip tilted nose and expressive dark eyes. Well coupled, with a strong rib, and good back end. Covers the ground well, and presented in good coat for his age. |

| 1st | Ch. Rossvale All About The Boy | G/w very well put together, with a nice head and soft expression. Darkest of eyes, nose level with lower eye rim. Well laid back shoulder, leading into a strong rib, sound rear and strong hocks which allowed him to move over the ground well. Coat coming on really well, and he was very well handled. |
| 2nd | Chelhama Business Class | Gr/white boy who made me smile as his tail wags all the time. He has a very typical shih tzu head, softest of expression, and his head/tail balance can’t be faulted. Full of shih tzu arrogance, and is very sound on the move. Just preferred the outline and size of 1. |

| 1st | Ch. Sistasu Silver Lining JW ShCM | Have loved watching this dog ringside, and he didn’t disappoint when I got my hands on him. A grey and white of the older English type, he has the most outstanding outline both on the move and when free standing, tabletop topline, outstanding head and soft, gentle expression just shouts arrogance, with the strongest of chin, fabulous round dark eye set into a large round head. Low set ears, just the right neck, with great laid back shoulder, elbows well tucked into that deep chest, the strongest of stifle and hocks, which means he just moves over the grass like a ship in full sail. The slightest of rolls (which I love in our breed), this dog just makes you want to watch him all day. He is exceptionally well groomed and works with his handler to perfection. Very well deserved CC and I hope his third isn’t too far away. |
| 2nd | Qanukakira Whizz Bang Pop with Debeaux | Lovely g/w who is slightly longer cast than 1 but has a lovely head and expression, good width of chest, and moves with drive around the ring. Very well presented and handled. |

| 1st | Ch. Weatsom Margarets Legacy for Quingshui JW ShCM | A g/w recently crowned champion and I now know why. Very typical of the Weatsom breeding, he is exceptionally made throughout, just the right size, has a great overall balance. Beautiful round head, a gentle, soft expression with the darkest round eye, perfectly tip tilted nose, the perfect mouth, and strong chin. A strong neck is set into perfectly straight topline.. His well rounded deep chest leads into a well ribbed body. Strong boned, great rear end which gives him the strength to move with drive. In beautiful coat. Very sound all over and presented so well. Mrs Stangeland would be very proud of how this dog has been so well looked after and handled. RCC. |
| 2nd | Ch. Zamadar Majic Potion for Cedarhythe | An amazing dog who was unlucky to meet 1 on the day. This lad oozes breed type, have admired this multi-ticketed dog ringside and am privileged to have the opportunity to go over him. The most exquisite head with a strong masculine expression, widest of jaws set into the strongest chin, darkest eyes defying you not to look at him. His well let down chest and laid back shoulders follow into a spirit level perfect topline, and a well coupled rear with great muscled thighs and turn of stifle means he has no problem getting over the bumpiest of grounds. His partnership with his handler is faultless and they make a perfect duo. His CC record speaks for itself, and I have no doubt there is more to come from this lovely boy. |

| 1st | Carlita Time to Samba JW | . 8 months old g/w bitch, with the prettiest of expressions. Heavy boned baby, with lovely level topline, well set tail, and happily moved around the ring showing full pad. One to watch in the future |
| 2nd | Shirkeira Olivia At Middletune | Another 8 month old g/w white, unlucky to meet 1, but again a lovely head, sweet expression, just the right amount of arrogance, well coated for her age. Preferred the tail set of 1. |
| Puppy Bitch | ||
| 1st | Ch. Shorestar Hocus Pocus JW | Wow! A beautifully made 9 month old solid black with all the arrogance you could wish for! She walked into the ring like a seasoned professional, and just demanded attention. A beautifully balanced outline, excellent reach of neck, super round head, with the darkest, round eyes. Strong jaw and tip tilted nose. Smashing body for one so young, and she flowed round the ring defying anyone to take their eye from her. Didn’t let herself down in the group, and I hope she has a great future ahead of her. BPIB |
| 2nd | Isishouse Queen Meritaten for Chellanda | . Reminded me of one of my girls, the sweetest of expressions, lovely round head, dark eye. Well set shoulders into a lovely solid body, and will challenge the best of them. Moved round the ring stylishly, with a great coat presented really well. |

| 1st | Ch. Shalehan Yarina For Mifcah JW ShCM | This grey brindle and white bitch is ultra feminine, the most arrogant presentation, and has a good round head, and typically arrogant shih tzu expression. Darkest pigment, lovely with jaw and strong chin. She maximises her length of neck into well laid back shoulders, a perfectly level topline, and ends with correct angulation. Perhaps needs a little more length to her back. She is very well presented, and covers the ground with ease. |
| 2nd | Peekin Miss Souza-Tu | A pretty little gold and white girl, with the sweetest of expression, lovely round eyes, and lovely padding to her muzzle. Body coming along really well, and her well constructed body helps her move around the ring easily. She is sympathetically handled, who encourages her to make the most of herself when she’s a little unsure. Pity she dropped her tail in the Novice bitch class. |

| 1st | Shanitaus Eternal Flame for Centastage | A bigger red/white bitch, who has a lovely outline, good balance, and a strong head. Not as feminine as I would usually go for, but moved and presented well. |
| 2nd | Peekin Miss Souza-Tu | A pretty little gold and white girl, with the sweetest of expression, lovely round eyes, and lovely padding to her muzzle. Body coming along really well, and her well constructed body helps her move around the ring easily. She is sympathetically handled, who encourages her to make the most of herself when she’s a little unsure. Pity she dropped her tail in the Novice bitch class. |

| 1st | Marhilway Edge Related | Gold/white bitch with round head, deep set dark eyes, ultra feminine expression, and a strong neck leading into well laid back shoulders. These meant she had a great front reach, which in turn helped her strong back end power her around the ring. |
| 2nd | Rossvale Xclusive Model at Yunquishing | Gold and white bitch who is well constructed, and is handled well. Lacks a little drive, needs to body up and develop coat. |

| 1st | Minfaa Dancin Cheek To Cheek at Middletune | Totally feminine g/w bitch who is well put together. Gorgeous head with darkest eye, perfect tiptilted nose. She has great shoulder placement, well tucked in elbows, and a strong level topline. Good front reach and strong drive showing full pad. Strong contender for the RCC and I’m sure she has a bright future. |
| 2nd | Ch. Pekoe Surprise Surprise JW | So unlucky to meet 1, another ultra feminine pale g/w lady with a fabulous outline, super level topline, long ribbed, excellent back end and great movement. She is as pretty as a picture, with her enormous dark eyes, round head, and arrogant jaw. Preferred the stronger rib of 1, but have no doubt these girls will change places at a different show. |

| 1st | Ch. Taydale Dancin In The Stars with Cedarhythe | . The first thing I wrote about this stunning b/w little girl was “pocket rocket�? – compact, sturdy bitch who screams femininity. Looking into eyes like big dark pools, she has the most arrogant of expression, which is helped by the widest jaw and strongest of chins. A cracking round head, set on just the right length of neck, leads into the best shoulders of the day – tucked well in, giving her a lovely front assembly. Her spring of rib is just astonishing, length of back just right for her size, and you could rest a glass on her perfectly straight topline. A well muscled body means her thighs, rounded stifle and strong hocks give her the most amazing power to cover the ground with amazing ease showing full pad, and terrific front reach. Her tailset gives her the perfect outline with wonderful overall balance. Sometimes overshadowed by her male kennel mate, I feel this girl has so much more to give. She gave me goosebumps watching her in the group, and despite being bitten by the Bulldog in the shortlist, she shrugged it off and carried on regardless. BCC and BOB. |
| 2nd | Ch. Tameron Miss Black Opium | These two have and will continue to swap places as they are both beautiful examples of our wonderful breed. A solidly made bitch who has all the qualities of a well deserved champion: beautiful head with arrogant expression, dark, well spaced round eyes, with wide jaw and good mouth. A nicely arched neck, into well laid back shoulders, well bodied and deep round chest. She has strong hindquarters, and fabulous angulation, which again make moving round the ring effortless. Presented so very well, and handled to perfection. So difficult to choose between these 2 but just preferred the arrogance of 1. Both very worthy champions. RCC. |
