I must admit Janet, I thought many of the tails at Westminster were much too flat - but didn't want to offend any of our american members! It's a real shame because the shih tzu is all about that beautiful balance. Although I would say that the grooming of the american shih tzu is absolutely amazing - once you can see past the top knot!
My understanding of tail set is where the tail is attached to the body - there are some tails which are too far down the end of the back, which means it comes "out" the back of the body before it comes over - which looks a bit odd (and sometimes it can make the topline look strange).
I may be wrong - perhaps some of our more experienced exhibitors could advise?
