This critique reflects the judge’s opinion based on what they saw on the day of the show.

Show critique

I was delighted to judge the Open Show in Steventon, Oxfordshire and would like to thank Pat Gregory and her committee for inviting me and making the days such a lovely experience. I was pleased with my entry and the quality of the dogs and would like to thank the exhibitors for taking the time to come to the show. I thought my top winners were of very high quality and shown in wonderful condition.

Minor Puppy Dog

1st	Shiawase Look At Me at Linoco	8 month old gold and white dog, lovely shape and balance. Good tail, pretty head, good nose placement. Well presented, lovely expression.

Puppy Dog

1st	Kezang d'Artagnan	Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Show: Striking young male of 9 months, deep gold and white who possesses a gorgeous head and expression, beautiful large dark eyes shaped eyes with no white showing, large well placed nose with open nostrils, good width of mouth excellent mouth. I am sure he will have a bright future.

Junior Dog

1st	Chelhama Perfect Timing	Grey and white nicely balanced dog, pleasing head and expression, dark expressive eyes, well placed nose, good length of neck, short thick legs, good carriage and moved well, plenty of drive in the rear.

Maiden Dog

1st	Kezang d'Artagnan	Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Show: Striking young male of 9 months, deep gold and white who possesses a gorgeous head and expression, beautiful large dark eyes shaped eyes with no white showing, large well placed nose with open nostrils, good width of mouth excellent mouth. I am sure he will have a bright future.
2nd	Chelhama Perfect Timing	Grey and white nicely balanced dog, pleasing head and expression, dark expressive eyes, well placed nose, good length of neck, short thick legs, good carriage and moved well, plenty of drive in the rear.

Novice Dog

1st	Kezang d'Artagnan	Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Show: Striking young male of 9 months, deep gold and white who possesses a gorgeous head and expression, beautiful large dark eyes shaped eyes with no white showing, large well placed nose with open nostrils, good width of mouth excellent mouth. I am sure he will have a bright future.
2nd	Chelhama Perfect Timing	Grey and white nicely balanced dog, pleasing head and expression, dark expressive eyes, well placed nose, good length of neck, short thick legs, good carriage and moved well, plenty of drive in the rear.

Graduate Dog

1st	Pekoe One Direction JW	Well balanced dog cream and white with a quality head giving a delightful oriental expression, good dark eye of the correct size, good nostrils, nice and wide, good pigmentation, wide mouth with good chin, gives a nice overall shape. Well presented.

Post Graduate Dog

1st	Ethelsmead Life Of Riley (JW)	Best Dog and Best in Show: Excellently presented black and white with the correct texture of coat, with good bone and substance, low slung with well-rounded rib cage, short thick legs, good length of neck, excellent carriage with a classic outline, beautiful dark eyes, no white showing, well placed nose, good nostrils and pigment, excellent finish of mouth giving such a haughty expression. Well placed and set tail, good front and nicely filled in chest. Moved and showed well with great drive from behind. It was my pleasure to award him BIS.

Limit Dog

1st	Ch. Ethelsmead Catch A Dream for Laurmerand	Reserve Best Dog and Reserve Best in Show: Very handsome gold and white male in good coat that was well presented, lovely head, nicely placed nostrils, dark expressive eyes, very good finish of mouth, good chin, correct length of neck, solid body, level topline, well placed taill, moved and showed extremely well both coming and going, good drive from behind. RBIS.

Open Dog

1st	Chelhama Tuxedo	Well presented and in good coat and texture, very quality head and expression, nice length of neck, solid body which is well-rounded, level topline, well placed tail, good bone and substance. Moved well.

Special Beginners Dog

1st	Kezang d'Artagnan	Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Show: Striking young male of 9 months, deep gold and white who possesses a gorgeous head and expression, beautiful large dark eyes shaped eyes with no white showing, large well placed nose with open nostrils, good width of mouth excellent mouth. Minor Puppy Bitch

1st	Wynele Sugarbabe To Laurmerand	Best Puppy Bitch and Best Minor Puppy: Very feminine 8 month old gold and white baby, good bone and substance, nicely balanced. Moved well with style.
2nd	Ch. Pekoe Surprise Surprise JW	Gold and white with very femine pretty head, good facial properties, nice tail set, moved and showed well.

Puppy Bitch

1st	Peekin Moon Lilly-Tu	Well balanced gold and white with a quality head and expression, dark eyes, nicely placed nose, good width of mouth and adequate chin. Well placed tail.

Junior Bitch

1st	Lyndatzu Jai Mali	Gold and white with lovely head properties, dark eyes, well positioned nose, good nostrils, nice pigment, good length of neck, good body and substance, well balanced, well-rounded ribcage, moved well both coming and going. Best Opposite Sex and BB.
2nd	Daltricia Ariadne	Black and white, substantial type of bitch, with good solid body, level topline, nice head properties with well placed nose with good wide nostrils.
3rd	Meilijo Some Like It Hot JW	Gorgeous solid gold black masked bitch, small but perfectly balanced, wonderful head and oriental expression, perfect tail.

Maiden Bitch

1st	Ch. Pekoe Surprise Surprise JW	Gold and white with very femine pretty head, good facial properties, nice tail set, moved and showed well.

Novice Bitch

1st	Meilijo Some Like It Hot JW	Gorgeous solid gold black masked bitch, small but perfectly balanced, wonderful head and oriental expression, perfect tail.
2nd	Ch. Pekoe Surprise Surprise JW	Gold and white with very femine pretty head, good facial properties, nice tail set, moved and showed well.

Limit Bitch

1st	Daltricia Ariadne	Black and white, substantial type of bitch, with good solid body, level topline, nice head properties with well placed nose with good wide nostrils.

Open Bitch

1st	Ch. Chodeas Eastern Star JW	Reserve Best Bitch: Very feminine gold, possesses a lovely head with a quality expression, dark expressive eyes that show no white, good finish of mouth, wide chin, well rounded ribcage, level topline, well placed tail, short thick legs moved well both coming and going with plenty of drive from behind.

Veteran Bitch

1st	Hundingsbane Hot Spell At Tysake	Best Veteran:Very pretty brindle of 7 years in excellent condition, good finish of mouth, good dark correctly expressive eyes, nicely placed nose. Moved and showed well and with style.
