It was a great honour to be awarding my first set of CC’s and I would like to thank Boston DCS for the invitation. I would also like to say a big thank you to my stewards Heidi and Paul for doing such a fantastic job and to all those exhibitors who entered under me. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with a good depth of quality in the entry. On the day I saw very little white of eye, heads were good, a lot of broad ribs, mouths, on the whole were very good and temperaments and presentation were excellent. Also, good to see some improvement in tail set and carriage, which vastly improves the balance and outline so there is a lot to be optimistic for in the breed. For me front construction just needs attention. You may have a good lay back of shoulder, but without the correct angulation, tight elbows, and length of upper arm you will never have the front legs reaching well forward that is asked for in the standard, and with better rear construction it can really affect the front movement. So pleased for the breed to see the Best Puppy Placed Group 2, and the Best Special Beginner placed Group 3. |
