Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge this breed, and their hospitality. Also, to my stewards for their support and expertise keeping things flowing and to time. I found the breed to have improved in dentition in the younger exhibits, presentation was on the whole very good. Some movement is lacking rear drive. I would be disappointed to see outline and balance to decline further. I make no apologies for my top winners, I am aware that I have awarded to this kennel before. I my opinion they are producing consistent type and quality exhibits. As I have not been around the show ring for some time I was surprised to learn that the Dog and Bitch C.C winners are Litter brother and sister. The winning they have done speaks for its self. |

I would like to thank the stewards for their expert help and for keeping the ring moving as I had asked. I found the same old problems with the breed. Dogs are weaker than bitches .In my opinion we are losing our beautiful Teapot Handle Tail many nice exhibits were spoiled for the lack of it. Some thought must be given to mouths and movement. I would suggest newcomers to the breed take guidance from the more established knowledgeable kennels on the breed standard as whole not just coats. |

Betty Williams. (Dogs) My first ch. show appointment. I had a very enjoyable day. I had some truly magnificent dogs to handle & was very proud of the challenge line up & with my eventual winners. Carlos Saevich (Bitches) From a numerically good entry I thought that the overall quality was very high. I've judged the breed in most of the countries of the World and, in my opinion, only in Sweden one can find similar depth of quality. I don't want to seem complacent and I know there are still some problems, new ones creeping uo, but most of the exhibits were of the correct type, good size, correct toplines and coat texture and also mouth and temperaments were excellent. I don't think there has been much improvement in movement since I last judged, short upper arms, weak and narrow hindquarters and lack of muscle tone all contributed to quite a few poor movements. On sight I found two otherwise very nice bitches with too prominent eyes and a few pinched nostrils. |
