2nd Veteran Dog | 2022 | Birmingham
Best Veteran 1st Veteran Dog | 2022 | Manchu Shih Tzu Society | Mrs J Anderton | Love this boy but he wasn’t giving his best in the challenge. But he is a pensioner like me and allowed to slow up. His dark eyes melt your heartstrings as I wrote in my critique when I gave him a CC. Coat presentation is first class he looked a picture. A worthy champion he deserved to be Best Veteran in Show. |
3rd Open Dog | 2019 | Northern Counties Shih Tzu Club | Mrs J Quick
Dog CC, 1st OD | 2019 | Crufts | Mr K Sinclair | This was an amazing class to judge with so many worthy champions present today. The first five were all champions so at times it was hair splitting decisions. . This red gold and white dog is a great ambassador for the breed. He has text book definition in his glorious headpiece with the darkest of eyes. Strong arrogant neck, well laid shoulders, correct front and good masculine bone. Good topline and correct high tailset. Shown in full coat of correct texture. Moved out well, just started to flag a little in the challenge. But then I did move them rather a lot for close decisions of dogs I really liked. Reserve CC. |
Dog CC, 1st OD | 2018 | City of Birmingham | Mrs B Roberts | Deep good/white, well balanced excellent breed type, well put together, super head properties with good neck and laid-back shoulders, good rib with firm top line ample rib, moved with drive pleased to award him CC. |

Correct deep wide front, heavily boned, good reach of neck, good spring of rib, level topline tail set on high giving a good overall balance. Well muscled stifle giving excellent drive showing full pads. |

Best of Breed, DCC, 1st OD | 2016 | City of Birmingham | Mrs J Anderton | What can I say about this young man that hasn’t already been said. No secret that I’ve been a big fan from the first moment I set eyes on him. He has a lovely compelling expression, dark eyes that melt your heart strings, strong jaw with good dentition. The head proportions fit the standard, nose ratio to skull correct. Well arched neck of correct length laying onto a level back. Quarters of correct length and angulation, good stifle which all combined to ensure strong flowing movement lacking in a lot of exhibits today. Good front extension strong driving from the rear. Coat presentation first class as always from this small kennel, a worthy champion pleased to award him C.C. and later B.O.B. |

Best of Breed, DCC, BP, 1st PD | 2014 | Manchester | Mr A Wight | Every now and again one comes face to face with a real star and that was my fate today. A dazzlingly handsome red and white, this son of CH Just Tom at Monshau is glamour personified, fabulous head, eyes and expression, good neck, real chunky body with strong bone and such good feet. Spirit level back, powerful hindquaters with well let down hocks, masses of well prepared coat, correct tail and he is just wonderful on the move. On the stack he has the ability simply to look at you and one is under his spell. Regrettably he missed the group as he had been beaten in the puppy stakes. Ouch, lesson learned, I hope!! |
